A road tour designed to retrace some of the roads of the 2018 Giro d'Italia, the Negev desert, the Dead Sea, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Local guide by bike, assistance in the following for luggage transport and transfer service. Stages and planned overnight stays, daily mileage and differences in altitude to be tackled at cycle-touring rates.

One of the "MUST" of this trip are the incredible wonders and natural beauties of the south, which offers breathtaking views, from sunrise to sunset. In the heart of the great Israeli Negev desert is the Ramon crater, the largest crater in the world generated by erosion, also known as Machtesh Ramon. Enclosed by a great variety of rocks of fantastic colors and shapes, this amazing natural phenomenon measures 40 km long and between 2 and 10 km wide, is shaped like an elongated heart and constitutes Israel's largest national park, the reserve natural of Ramon.

Itinerary and program

1st day: flight to Ovda (Eilat)
Flights to Ovda. Transfer organized from the airport to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Eilat.

2nd day: Eilat-Ovda / Mipze Ramon - 98 km
Today's journey takes us along the valley of Arava, between the beautiful mountain range of southern Jordan and the slopes of the Negev. Reaching Lotan, where we will ride on our bikes, we will leave the valley and begin the long and rather difficult climb to the top of the central Negev ridge at Mitzpe Ramon. The roads here reward cyclists with some of the best views of this part of the Israeli desert, and when a look at "Makhtesh" in Mitzpe Ramon is a great day to end this day by bike. Dinner and overnight in Mipze Ramon.

3rd day: Mipze Ramon / Yerocham - km 66
The journey continues today along the highest part of the Negev. The gentle hills we cross were the home of the Nabatien, the kings of the desert 2000 years ago. Here is also the region where young Israelis at the beginning of the state decided to come and live, followed by Ben Gurion, the Prime Minister. The route today is less demanding in terms of climbs, and in the end we arrive at Yerucham. Dinner and overnight in Yerocham.

4th day: Yerocham / Ein Bokek - 102 km
Today we will travel through a circle, up to Arad in the highest part of the Judean desert, along the road to Massada, and then from the eastern side of this National Park, we return and again to the hotel. It is a difficult climate from 400 m below sea level up to 600 m above. By the way, the visit to the Massada is without a bike, we will find them on the other side of the mountain, after going up the mountain from the west and going down to the east. Dinner and overnight in Ain Bokek.

5th day: Ein Bokek / Massada / Ein Bokek - 73 km
Our last day on the bike is focused on reaching the city of Jerusalem. We will cross the Judean Hills and the Ella Valley region, and we will begin the real climb to the east, through the mountains of Jerusalem, one of Israel's most famous road bike regions. The scenery is fantastic and then the feeling of going to the city riding a bicycle is a special experience. Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.
