These are the Piedmontese lands famous for its exceptional wine and food, such as the Cortese Gavi white wine, amaretti and the farinata of Novi, land of culture with the castles of the upper Monferrato, and land of cycling with the museum dedicated to the Campionissimo, Fausto Coppi. All this, and much more, will be part of this intense 4-day experience in a hilly landscape designed by vineyards, enclosed between Piedmont and the Apennines of Liguria.

Day 1 | Novi Ligure

Hotel check in. In the afternoon welcome and briefing by our guide and visit to the center of Novi Ligure.


Day 2 | From the fort to the convent: Gavi, Bosio, Carrosio, Voltaggio, Arquata Scrivia, Gavi.

This bike ride perfectly represents the encounter between 2 neighbouring territories: Piedmont and the Old Republic of Genoa, whose presence can still be "savored" today through the cuisine, traditions, culture and language typical of this area where the hills gradually gives way to the first hints of the Apennines of Liguria. Authentic jewels such as the village of Gavi (Touring Orange Flag), with its imposing Genoese fort and the enchanting village of Voltaggio, with strong Ligurian connotations and its beautiful former convent of Capuchin friars, constitute the added value of this fantastic itinerary. Tastings and visit to the production of amaretti biscuits, where you will prove your chef skills preparing the biscuits with you own hands, and why not, sipping excellent local sparkling wine.


Day 3 | On the streets of Fausto Coppi: Gavi, Serravalle Scrivia, Sardigliano, Sant'Agata Fossili, Carezzano, Castellania, Paderna, Villalvernia, Novi Ligure, Gavi.

Everyone knows Fausto Coppi but few know his places, his country, and those streets where, since he was a boy, he "studied" to become the “Campionissimo”. We will ride his streets and visit Fausto's house in Castellania: a museum that preserving the most intimate and reserved aspect of the Campionissimo. Retracing the streets of Fausto also means getting to know the beautiful hills of the Tortona area up close with its tiny villages that, over the years, have maintained the traditionally rural and genuine aspect of this part of Piedmont! Wine tasting in the Marina Coppi cellar, managed by Fausto's nephew. Visit to the Museum of Campionissimi. Tasting of the classic farinata and a glass of wine in Novi.


Day 4 | Tour of the castles of Alto Monferrato: Gavi, San Cristoforo, Francavilla Bisio and Tassarolo.

This will be a pleasant cycling route in the hills of Gavi in ​​the heart of the production area of ​​the white Cortese Gavi. This itinerary offers the opportunity to learn about the millenary history of its territory thanks to its castles and manors that dot this part of Monferrato. The panoramic views, offered by the surrounding hills, embraced by the Ligurian Apennines make this ride beautiful and like no other. End of the tour in the late morning.
